Houston small business bookkeeping
Monthly bookkeeping and help with the hard parts
We work with many Houston-area businesses, from keeping the books current each month to working through substantial bookkeeping backlogs. You’ll have a dedicated bookkeeper who understands your business and is easy to reach by call, text or email.
Monthly bookkeeping starts at $150/month. We’ll talk through the work you need and explain what’s included in your plan. Our bookkeeping and tax services are delivered virtually, and we serve businesses nationwide.
Welcome to SnapBooks
If bookkeeping keeps getting pushed down your list, we’d love to help. You might need someone to handle the regular work, or you might need help figuring out why the accounts don’t add up.
We’ll listen, learn how your business works and explain the next steps in plain language. You don’t need to have everything sorted out before we talk.

Bookkeeping support for the work you need
Monthly bookkeeping
We organize transactions, reconcile bank and credit card accounts, and prepare financial reports. If you also need help tracking customer invoices or supplier bills, we’ll include that work in the scope and quote.
Payroll
Payroll support is available alongside bookkeeping. We’ll discuss your setup and explain the services and pricing before adding payroll to your plan.
Cleanup and catch-up
A backlog can involve more than uncategorized transactions. We help with historical bookkeeping, reconciliations and receivable or payable records that need attention. Cleanup projects are quoted separately after a free review.
Tax preparation
We also prepare business tax returns. You can use SnapBooks for both services or continue with your current tax preparer. Tax preparation is separately priced.
Bookkeeping with tax preparation in mind
Because we also prepare tax returns, we keep tax preparation in mind as we work on your books throughout the year. That connection matters when historical transactions and balances need to be reviewed, too.
We’ll explain which bookkeeping work you need and whether any separate tax work should be discussed. Tax preparation is quoted separately and isn’t included in the $150/month bookkeeping starting price.

For regular bookkeeping support, we’ll recommend a monthly plan based on your transaction volume, the condition of your books and the services you need. You’ll know the scope and price before work begins.
Hourly bookkeeping is also available from $38/hour. We’ll discuss whether hourly work or an ongoing monthly plan makes sense for your business.
Cleanup projects are quoted separately. Payroll, tax preparation, accounts payable, accounts receivable and other added work aren’t automatically included in the monthly starting price.

Someone to turn to when things need attention
Your bookkeeper will know your business, not just the entries in your software. If a balance doesn’t make sense or a bookkeeping issue needs attention, we’ll help work through it and explain what happens next.
You should feel comfortable asking questions. You’ll have ongoing personal support, not just reports arriving in your inbox.
Start with a free cleanup review
Behind by months or years, or dealing with reports that don’t look right? We’ll take a look, identify the areas that need attention and explain what the cleanup would involve.
You’ll receive a clear quote before cleanup work begins, with no obligation to move forward. Once the books are caught up, we can discuss ongoing monthly bookkeeping as a separately scoped next step.
